A hundred years ago, Zeeland was only accessible by ship. Economic progress and especially the flood disaster of 1953 put an end to this: since the end of the last century, all Zeeland islands have been connected to each other via dams, bridges and tunnels. And that makes Zeeland an ideal destination for cyclists.
