The Greenwich Dunes Trail takes you over the largest sand dune on Prince Edward Island and into the heart of Prince Edward Island National Park. The trailhead car park is at the end of Greenwich Road. Here, youβll also find information boards about the unique geology of the region and Greenwich's deep connections to Mi'kmaq and Acadian indigenous culture.
Youβll walk along sandy paths and boardwalks towards the coastline, where white sand beaches, clear water and endless views of the fascinating dune landscape await on this unforgettable out-and-back hike.
The western tip of Greenwich is a peninsula separating St Peter's Bay from the Gulf of St Lawrence. It was added to the Prince Edward Island National Park in 1998 in order to protect and preserve its natural beauty and culture.
