Today we followed the viper markings. We set off from the car park on Diensthüttenstraße towards Guglöd. Right at the beginning we once again follow narrow paths through rustic forests. From the village of Siebenellen we go through meadows and forest to Klosterfilz. Here we go partly over plank paths through the moor. A really great backdrop. Every now and then we see traces of beavers feeding on us, but unfortunately no animals. After a while we walk along the banks of the Große Ohe. After Riedlhütte, from there the path leads into the Filzwald, a beautiful moor forest. I just have to say, really beautiful. We go back to the starting point again over wooden planks.
The circular hike through the Klosterfilz (marked Kreuzotter) is a very nice hike without any major climbs. I walked the loop the other way around than most hikers do - I personally think it's the nicer option. I started from the Diensthüttenstraße car park. When the weather is nice, this parking lot is very full - so it's better to start a little earlier.
Today we hiked through the Klosterfilz and the Grosser Filz, a raised bog. A wonderfully beautiful hike – this is what you imagine an enchanted forest to be like. Especially at this time of year, it's worth seeing and a bit mystical – so beautiful 😍.
When I chose the tour last night, I could already see myself prancing along the wooden planks like Legolas... far from it. Firstly, there was a lot of hard frozen snow on the things with individual tracks, so it was really great to walk and secondly... I don't look like Legolas 🤣 So I trudged over and through it more like Gimli. Snowshoes would have been helpful, but they were in the basement at home🤭 But nature compensated and I was apparently the only one out and about. When we returned, the parking lot was still empty. Conclusion. A nice tour even in winter, super lonely and pleasantly sweaty 😅
Again because it was soo nice (.. and because I still had a lot of time after the Lusen... and because I got lost at Komoot yesterday🙃) The round around/through large felt, monastery felt, wolf pit felt. Today in a somewhat slimmed down form - but also very beautiful and highly recommended. Yesterday I still had the path along the small Ohe to St.Oswald with me (also great)👍😎
Today we hiked through the Filz (moor). The boardwalk that leads over it was beautiful. The moor is partly red, which looks very interesting. According to Google, this is due to tannins and various other acids. That's why bog bodies always have red hair ❗😄 Learned something new again 🤗 The hike was again very well signposted (I know it completely differently 🤔) and led through beautiful, mossy autumn forests. Oh yes...... I have never seen as many fly agarics as in the Bavarian Forest.
We started the circular tour from Siebenellen (approx. 12 km), partly on boardwalks and beautifully through the impressive nature of the large Filz/Klosterfilz! Everything is well signposted, just always follow the adder symbol!
A very nice tour in which the national park can show itself in all its facets. You walk 🐾🐾 through deep mixed forests, rocky ascents / descents as well as wooden planks in a beautiful heather landscape ...

Do something good for the environment and use public transport to get to your tour:
Igelbus stop Diensthüttenstraße
Line 601 (Rachel bus)
Igelbus service from mid-May until the end of the Bavarian autumn holidays
