This route was planned by komoot.
The tour starts at the Reiner adventure farm. After a short level stretch, it quickly descends through idyllic forest paths to the valley with lush meadows just before Klinglbach. A steady ascent follows past the Haidberg and Ahornwies houses to the Proeller summit. While the paths through the forest are almost enchanting, the open spaces, such as at the Ahornwies or on the Proeller, provide a wonderful panorama. The descent almost to Sankt Englmar has many very interesting moments. In the Prellerhaus (note opening hours) it is worth stopping for a break while hiking. Via the village of Grün, you return home to the starting point. It was a really wonderful track. Both the nature, the views and the many experiences make the tour so valuable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Incidentally, we only made the detour through the woods and meadows near Haidberg because of the deer there. In fact, it is advisable to stay on the side of the road until AHORNWIES:
Unfortunately, the planned return route was blocked by the crossing of the downhill ski run, so we had to re-plan a bit. The climb up from Klingelbach was also quite sporty...
You actually look forward to the sun 🌞 and warm weather, and then that 🙈 This messes up the whole mountain bike training plan. 🤪🤪
Today again a small tour in the front Bavarian Forest. We started in green (there are enough parking spaces available there) - along the summer toboggan run up to the historic healing spring, the St. Bernhardsquelle. From there continue over the Zuckerhut to the summit of the Proeller. From here you have a wonderful view over Hinterviechtach, Kollnburg to the Kine. At the edge of the ski slope, the path then led me to Ahornwies and from there via a road that can certainly be shortened through the forest to Klinglbach. After a short detour towards Maibrunn we went back to the parking lot. Although the weather wasn't at its best today, the tour was really fun.
