This route was planned by komoot.
After our return from the Dieksee circular route (at around 12:30 p.m.), we set off again from the same starting point directly for this Holzbergturm circuit. The Malenter lake promenade, wildlife park and the last - not very exciting - third of the route of this current tour were therefore already familiar to us from the morning. But what was most important to me was the eponymous Holzbergturm, which you can reach via a 400m long dead-end path. The "old" larch wood tower was only opened in 2005, but after around 10 years it was closed again for safety reasons and then demolished. Instead, in 2020, a "new" steel tower, about 3m higher at 30m, was built on the 90m high wooden mountain at the same location, which offers a very beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding lake landscape - provided you don't mind climbing the 147 steps up to the viewing platform beforehand 🥵😂. That actually says everything essential about this tour, with the exception of the obligatory reference to the missing photos, which will only be added after the end of the holiday 🫠.
Unfortunately, the weather forecast wasn't promising, and it turned into a rainy hike. So we skipped the original destination, the Holzbergturm. Despite everything, it was a very nice hike. For Regina, it was the longest hike in a long time.
Constantly changing landscapes, wonderful vistas, and two absolute highlights: the observation tower on the Holzberg and the Radlandsicht (Radland viewpoint). A fantastic tour through Holstein Switzerland!
Nice start to the weekend. Nice tour around Malente. There was a lot to discover in great weather 🌞😎🚶♀️👀
You can't stay inside with this weather 😉☀️☀️ So I used one of my favorite sloping routes for a hike and finally went up again to the "Holzbergturm", which is made of steel 😉 So often I drive, run, walk past here and so seldom upstairs. It had to be today with the ideal weather conditions and the view was fantastic 🤩
What dream weather☀️☀️☀️❄️....I was so motivated that I went on a slightly longer tour....And luckily it wasn't so slippery anymore❄️ The ☀️ made me smile constantly, just like the emoji from the viewpoint 😅..... This lap is one of my shorter runs, but of course just as nice for a walk. Past the holiday farm and climbing garden Radlandsichten and through the small Abel forest. The way back was on the Dieksee hiking trail. I stayed in the view house for a while and enjoyed the already powerful ☀️ on my face: spring is welcome 😍😊🙏
Today we went to the Holzberg Tower again, this time as a circular tour! In the Malente Wildlife Park, the deer and stags were roaming freely and were very trusting; I've never experienced anything like it before. A beautiful sunset rounded off the tour; photos are once again out of order 😐.
