An impressive hike that took me through the volcanic past of this beautiful region in windy weather today.

The Schlossberg with the Waldeck ruins marks the beginning of the basalt cones to be climbed. Even though I am already familiar with the site, I was once again very impressed, both by the masonry and by the magnificent view.
