First day of vacation, something to do in Schluechtern... so off to the regional train and looooos... so of course with a 21 minute delay 😂. You can (almost) always rely on the track. More on that later 😉. In Schluechtern we went to have breakfast after we had finished. It was almost lunchtime, so off to the kebab shop for some falafel. Good preparation for a demanding tour is the A&O and how easy it would have been if I hadn't eaten a huge falafel wrap right before the sport 🙈. My stomach didn't think it was really cool at first. Even though I told the cheerful diner that I was eating outside, he still wrapped the wrap in two layers of aluminum foil. Superfluous, but since I couldn't spot any lateral thinkers in the immediate vicinity, the aluminum foil had to be disposed of almost unused 😢. So off we went and this Spessart biking tour, for once, does not start directly with an ascent, but it takes a few kilometers until you immerse yourself in nature. The tour does not have any outstanding highlights, but beautiful forest motorway passages and one or the other descent where you should not be careless. Lots of gravel. Especially on the detour to the Müsufer (my goodness, that was idyllic 🥰) I was allowed to plow through the freshly graveled forest path 😅, super exhausting. At the end, as on the 13, it goes rapidly down through the Bernhardswald, where I became a bit breakneck due to the constantly missing delay notification of the RMV app, as I ran the risk of missing the targeted RE. Unbelievable, the train is always too late, only not when you need it 🤬😂. Finally, I arrived at the station 3 minutes before the train arrived. Yay, into the 9 Euro sky! What a success. Even if you don't always get a place for your bike and yourself by now, I think it's super good what's happening at the moment ❤️. And after this tour I won't cry at anyone anymore that Covid would have disturbed my fitness for a long time🤞🏻.
Great views, a beautiful stretch through a beech forest and ponds along the way offer a lot of variety. At first glance, the tour does not seem to place great demands on the riding technique. It runs on gravel or asphalt farm roads with a small proportion of meadow paths. However, the options offered along the route increase this requirement. After a leisurely warm-up on the cycle path from Schlüchtern to Niederzell, the route then continues continuously uphill. Once you have reached the Bellinger Warte, the first climb is almost mastered. A short detour to the Warte is rewarded with a great view. Past the Steinau leisure and climbing park, the tour leads to the Old Wine Route on the other side of the mountain ridge between the Kinzig and Jossa valleys. The Spessartbogen is crossed on the Old Wine Route. Here, technically more experienced mountain bikers can take the section of the route into the Rohrbach valley. The “Pearls of the Jossa” cycle path now takes you a little way down the valley before a short climb or descent leads to Neuengronau. This is followed by a longer climb accompanied by open forest areas and open spaces, which repeatedly offer a great view of the Spessart or the Rhön. At the level of the old sports field in Weiperz, the tour crosses the Spessartbogen again. Sporty mountain bikers can now follow this signposting to Schlüchtern. Those who prefer something a little quieter can follow the actual route to Ahlersbach. Past Teufelskanzel and Wilder Tisch, the tour leads through a great beech forest down into the Ahlersbach valley. Past small ponds, it goes uphill one last time towards Hohenzeller Berg. A view of Schlüchtern and the Kinzig valley rounds off the tour. A forestry path now leads down to Schlüchtern and to the starting point of the tour. Today we did the complete, well-signposted 2 Valleys Tour (No. 14). You get to great places that you wouldn't normally know about. Sometimes you get a total holiday feeling in a very beautiful landscape. We simply live in a great, varied area 😁

Today I did another tour in this beautiful area. It was a round of #13 14 15 11
Everything was great, beautiful views, great views and great nature ...... but the paths are a cheek, only gravel, brutal, sometimes miserable coarse gravel. In places I hardly made any progress, it really hurt, so I voluntarily
