The tour is a tribute to the Spessart Mountains between the Flörsbach and Biebertal valleys. Forest paths, trails, and cultural trails characterize the route. Forestry roads are essential, but the natural landscape makes this possible. After climbing up the Hartgrund near Flörsbach, you quickly reach the Wiesbütt Nature Reserve. The Wiesbütt Moor and Wiesbütt Pond are remnants of human intervention in nature and witnesses to mining in the Biebertal valley in the 18th century. The route follows a forest path along the nature reserve to the Wiesbütt Pond and the entrance to the Bieberer Acht cultural trail. A great trail descends to the Lochborn Pond, another witness to mining in the Biebertal valley. The pond served as a water reservoir to power machines used in mining at that time. Continuing along the cultural trail, it leads to the Burgberg Chapel. Without any significant ups and downs, the route now leads through a magnificent beech forest around the Burgberg. At the end of the hill, a forest path leads into the Biebertal valley. The route of a water pipeline now requires some skill before a longer climb up to Villbach. With magnificent views of the Jossatal valley and the Beilstein mountain, the route leads to the Hohe Sohl. The abundant oak forest in this section is another witness to the Spessart region. In the 19th century, the processing of oak bark as a tanning agent for leather production was an important source of income for the residents of the Flörsbachtal valley. After circumnavigating the Hohe Sohl, the route continues along a meadow path and offers a final view of the Flörsbachtal valley from above, before returning to Flörsbach and the starting point.
The tour is a thank you to the Spessart between Flörsbach and Biebertal. Forest paths, trails and cultural paths shape the image of the route. It would not be possible without forestry paths, but the natural landscape on offer makes this bearable. After the ascent in Hartgrund near Flörsbach, you will quickly reach the Wiesbütt nature reserve. Wiesbütt Moor and Wiesbütt Pond are remnants of human intervention in nature and witnesses to mining in the Biebertal in the 18th century. The route leads along a forest path along the NSG to the Wiesbütt Pond and to the start of the Bieberer Acht cultural path. A great trail leads down to the Lochborn Pond, another witness to mining in the Biebertal. The pond served as a water reservoir to drive machines that were used in mining at the time. Continuing along the cultural path, it leads to the Burgberg Chapel. Without any significant ups and downs, the route now leads through a beautiful beech forest around the castle hill. At the end of the hill, a forest path leads into the Biebertal. The route of a water pipe now requires a certain amount of riding skill before a longer climb up to Villbach. With a wonderful view of the Jossatal and the Beilstein, the route leads to the Hohe Sohl. The rich oak population in this section of the route is another contemporary witness in the Spessart. In the 19th century, the processing of oak bark as a tanning agent for leather production was an important source of income for the residents of the Flörsbachtal. After circling the Hohe Sohl, the route takes you back to Flörsbach and the starting point via a meadow path and a last view of the Flörsbachtal from above. Mud fight! Detour. Fall. Anger 🤬🤣! I didn't think it would be so wet. You could call it naive 😆. I started the 7 above Bieber because I could park at a friend's house without any stress. The first 10km were also pretty dry, but then, as is almost inevitable these days, came the harvester paths. At a snail's pace through all kinds of deep water... It was still a lot of fun until I reached the nth craggy path and had no idea that there was a crater waiting for me rather than a harvester hole. Bam, I flew forwards off my bike 🐦🔥🪽. But nothing else happened. A barrier tape that the forestry service probably forgot meant I had to take a detour. In retrospect, it turned out that I certainly didn't have to be obedient, because after the detour I got to the prescribed path at another point without any problems. So not everything went smoothly, but I still had a lot of fun today. The moist forest air was incredibly invigorating 😀.
I didn't have that much time but a lot of desire, so I picked out a small round of Spessart biking, the 7th. I entered the tour in Bieber, so I had the hardest, longest climb cold straight out of the car 👍 When I was after 17 km had 500 hm, I briefly considered whether that was a good idea at 30 degrees. At least the muscles warmed up quickly. We're all a little crazy. Somehow it was a mixture of the 7 and the 2 and my own way, I still have to find out why 😁 I wanted to spontaneously take the Bieberer Pfädchen with me when I'm there, but it shares fate with many formerly beautiful trails 😪 sometimes knew I don't even know if I'm still on it. After that I really had to get some water or I wouldn't have gotten into Bieber, but I couldn't get enough water today. You can plan better. In any case, a conditionnel not very easy round with a few trails that are nice. Great prospects are set in the area. But also a few lengths here and there
