Crisp! So the 6 really earned the black signs without any problem 😅. It wasn't just the elevation gain in less than 30km, but also the surface of the path (stone, gravel, dead wood, roots) that required additional strength and endurance. Unfortunately, my lack of ability to recognize signs early or at all meant that I often had to walk extra meters or take involuntary breaks while searching. In my defense, I would also like to mention that the signs were actually not there or recognizable on two occasions. In any case, the 6 is a great route that I'll remember for a repeat ride 👍.
The sporty route runs mainly on forestry paths in the first part of the route. The second part is characterized by forest and meadow paths, which demand a lot of technical skills from the mountain biker. The shorter and longer climbs are also not to be underestimated. After the start in Oberndorf, the route immediately goes slightly uphill in Kreuzgrund, before moving onto a forest path where the first demands are made. After reaching the Hock-Steine, it goes quickly downhill into the Orber Grund. After a short climb, the tour leads along a forest path near the municipality of Burgjoß and down into the Spirkelbach valley. The first highlight of this tour now awaits the mountain biker in front of the municipality of Mernes. After leaving the forest behind, the route leads over a meadow path into an old sunken road that leads to Mernes. This descent places increased demands on the mountain biker. If this is too boring for you, you can integrate one or two ramps into the descent, which are located at the edge of the path. The Stackenberg is the next challenge before you can enjoy the wonderful view over a unique heath landscape and into the Jossatal. In clear weather you can see the Wasserkuppe and the Kreuzberg in the Rhön. After a short rest, the tour now leads along the Hessian-Bavarian border. In a constant up and down, it goes over forest and meadow paths into the Auragrund. Here another short climb awaits the mountain biker before you reach the starting point of the tour with a great view of the Jossatal and meadow paths. The 3rd tour today Battery quickly charged to 80% at the charging station.. And then started at 8pm... Into the blue hour, so did the round until 10pm. That was about 2600m of elevation today.. The shower is happy now😀 And I'll probably sleep very soundly Good night and greetings 🍺
