Beautiful walk with blossoms and beautiful views, castles. You walk through the 'tranendreef' where you can crawl into the 'tranenbubbel' via a ladder and enjoy a beautiful view 👌👌👌
Vechmaal, Heks, Widooie, Bommershoven: the names of the villages around here seem to come straight out of a fairytale. They are well-preserved, compact villages that take up as little of the fertile land as possible. You'll walk past seemingly endless fields, interrupted only by monumental square farms. Starting point: * Herberg de Horne, Brugstraat 30, 3870 Heers More Haspengouw Landscape Walks: https://www.komoot.com/nl-nl/collection/2311319/-wandelen-langs-haspengouwse-landschappen
In search of the sun (it had been foggy for us all week) we went to Haspengouw. We walked the route: Greenspot Heks of the province of Limburg, but we started at the Sint-Pieterskapel in Sint-Pieters-Heurne. Castles and large square farms characterize this walk. Dry Haspengouw completely. The walk takes place on the typical Haspengouw concrete field roads and on well-maintained (but sometimes greasy) field roads. Only a bit past the castle of Widooie was wetter. Part of the walk is on the old tramway from Oreye to Borgloon. Finally, the fog came back. But in good weather this walk is definitely recommended.
