After yesterday's 🚍 journey from Lake Chiemsee, including through the Tauern Tunnel, arriving here near Villach late afternoon, 🌤️ it was time for some exercise again today ⛰️😁 A wonderful tour 🤩 with a detour to Ossiach Abbey ⛪️ and a waterfall with heart ❤️
The south bank has a nice bike path, on the north bank this consists mainly of a series of paths and streets with mostly bad asphalt
Short 🚲 stopover 🚲 at Lake Ossiach 🏞 with 🌞 a sun halo 🌞🌈 (see picture 6) and a pleasant 15° degrees to satisfy the longing for the mountains ⛰️🥰 at least a little 😃😊. The off-season started here too. Passenger boat traffic ⛴️ was stopped on October 27th and all restaurants around the lake 🏞 were closed. Luckily 🍀 that we were able to provide for ourselves ☕️🍫🍌🍎🍪 again in the slowly setting 🌞🌄. It was beautiful 😊😃👍
Too many people, too much traffic on the street next to it.
At the end and in 🥶 and inconsistent weather🌦️ we did the Osiacher See Rundweg🚴♀️. It is exactly the other way around than on Lake Millstatt, the north bank is the nicer one to drive (the road is a little off the beaten track, not visible) On the south bank, take the cycle path next to the autostraße🚙🚘. Otherwise nothing spectacular to see, that is to say, I personally liked the Millstätter See Rundweg much better.
Actually a nice lap around the lake. Well-developed bike path. Unfortunately, 80 percent of the road runs next to the bike path and you have no direct access to the lake on the round. Therefore there are only 3 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐
