Éislek Pad Hoscheid

Beautiful area for some adventure in nature. Deep valleys and steep slopes, interspersed with beautiful, narrow nature trails and wide views. As the icing on the cake, you cross the Moberlee rock ridge via the last trail. Only 11 km, but still a fairly strenuous hike. Therefore, also more photos, it was a good reason to catch your breath occasionally. It was certainly not my legs, even the dog was calmer than usual after this hike. She has done the tour two or three times already…🙈 so much fun again.

A hike that I have been looking forward to for a long time is this one over a mountain ridge. It definitely has an alpine feel. Although the path is not really exposed. I had no problems with my fear of heights.

This trail, starting from the church in Hoscheid, packs in almost 500m altitude gain in only a few hours of hiking! So put on your best hiking boots and be prepared for steep descents and even steeper climbs, all cumulating in an ascent of the breathtaking "Molberlee" ridge. Definitely one for more adventurous hikers seeking stunning views in an almost-mountainous landscape that you probably never knew existed in Luxembourg!

Thanks Katie for the inspiration! I had seen the PH2 Hoscheid with you with the outstanding section "Molberlee". As you said, this route should be taken in dry weather. I wasn't fit at all today, but with the nice weather there was no stopping me today. I chose the Éislek Pad and I walked it slowly and at a snail's pace. Top highlight Momberlee at the beginning and then lonely paths on the rest of the way. At km 6 you could also take a short cut if you wanted to. It would also be worth considering putting the Momberlee back on the way back as well. The sunny weather was absolutely great today! However, part of the way was in the shady slope in the afternoon. To my great relief, my foot held today. Now I'm curious to see where the other Komootlers were in the nice weather...

Saturday April 13, 2024, together with our godson I walked the Molberlee in Hoscheid. A distance of 12.4 km with a height difference of 470 meters. It was very impressive and I always wanted to do it again. It's just one time, very tough for someone who is almost 72 years old.

What a wonderful, varied path, which delights all the senses at this time of year, with the brilliant gorse and the meadows in bloom! The ridge path over the Molberlee took me a little while to complete, not because it's difficult (it's easy to walk), but because I stopped every three steps to take photos and marvel at the view. So, I definitely recommend this path!

The former Auto-Pédestre of Hoscheid. What a walk, what a splendor of colors! Over the yellow broom and other flowers. It was already the 3rd time for me on the Molberlee, but it remains magical. Especially now shrouded in yellow. The clouds had just cleared, fortunately. They predicted bad weather, but it remained dry until the end of our walk! There are a few steep climbs in it. Everyone should do this one!💛💛💛
