Trail Reviews

Klaus MTB
August 9, 2025, RR Kleine Ländle Runde

Today I decided on the spur of the moment to go on a Ländle tour. I set off at 6:30 a.m. because of the expected heat. Via Satteins, Schnifis, Blons, Sonntag, Fontanella to the first pass, Faschina. I had a quick break with a latte macchiato and apple strudel to motivate myself again, as I was even considering taking a shortcut via the Furkajoch. 😉. Anyway, I switched off my common sense and cycled via Au, Schoppernau and Schröcken over the second pass, the Hochtannberg Pass 😅, which felt more like 🥵 😉. Then I had a well-deserved lunch break and continued via Warth, Lech and Zürs to the third and final pass, the Flexen Pass, the declared goal ☝️ today. By the time I got to the top, it was already 29°C! Luckily, I thought it was only downhill from there. But I quickly realized that it was hardly any cooling off. It's getting hotter and hotter. At 35°C in Bludenz, I pull the ripcord and take the train home. A good decision. It's a nice tour, but next time I'll leave at 5 a.m.
