This route was planned by komoot.
Rabenberg Trail Center. Cool idea and cool guys and girls. I rode the Black Raven lap. Unfortunately it was raining and some of the trails were difficult to ride due to the many cross roots. The trails are in good condition and can be ridden in dry conditions without any problems.
Nice round with some very cool trails. But sometimes there is a bit of a slight gradient, pedal-heavy and sometimes wasted meters of altitude by shooting down a straight line in a rocky groove... This could be designed much better. But the forest is a dream...
I got lost twice because the route was misleading.
After a 220km journey to the beautiful Ore Mountains, we indulged our cravings and enjoyed the trails. Off we went to the Black Raven circular trail at the Rabenberg Trail Center. As is often the case in trail parks, every descent had to be fought for with a lot of elevation gain. So we also occasionally took on uphill trails. A completely new experience with the bio bike. A successful start to the short vacation.
Took advantage of the public holiday and rode the trails around the Rabenberg in the Erzgebirge. A great location, around the trailhead in the Rabenberg sports park. The weather was just right, not too warm. The trails were partly wet and some of the roots were a real challenge. The Rabenberg was well attended on Ascension Day, but that didn't matter on the many trails...
Today a round for three to explore the eastern part of the Black Raven. Yvonne mastered even the most difficult trails superbly. In the end, JC is still back to his family and we ended the tour alone with a great view over the former bismuth mining area.
We've never been to the Ore Mountains before: A region with stunning scenery! 😍 And then there's the fantastic Rabenberg Trail Center! Countless wonderful trails around the Rabenberg Sports Park (there are seemingly facilities for every kind of sport, plus accommodations, restaurants, RV sites, camping options, playgrounds, a small MTB skills park... a dream for outdoor enthusiasts, especially since the surrounding area also offers hiking trails, via ferratas, rock climbing opportunities, etc.!!). Today we planned to tackle the most difficult of the official trails - the "Black Raven." Unfortunately, Madame had problems with her foot (an inflamed toe), so she had to drop out after only two trails 🥴 So I continued on alone, and since I was traveling by e-bike and some trails on the "Black Raven" were closed due to forestry work, I added a few trails freestyle that wouldn't otherwise have been part of the "Black Raven." So, the GPX track here only has a limited connection to the original BR 😉 But the countless trails on the route were extremely fun: Through a magical forest landscape, you'll find downhill and uphill trails with six difficulty levels – even the easier trails are superbly laid out and really fun! If you have the choice, I recommend traveling by e-bike, like I did; the terrain and the often relatively flat trails are perfect for that 😊 I generally liked the more difficult trails best, although even level "6" isn't particularly difficult (moderate S2, never steep or particularly technical), but they are really beautiful, bumpy, and often great "blasting" trails with a mega fun factor! 🥰🤙 In general, there's a truly diverse range of trails here, from flow trails with tables to gentle uphill singletracks to massive root systems and entertaining "rock gardens" – and despite the many trails, I haven't explored them all yet. We highly recommend the Rabenberg Trail Center if you're looking for great enduro trails of low to medium difficulty in idyllic natural surroundings! And if you're looking for bike park action, Klinovec isn't far from here 😉
First tour Which includes all the types of Trail that are in Rabenberg so climbs, flow, roots, rocks and jumps. Ideal for getting familiar with the Trail Park and deciding how to plan your routes
