This route was planned by komoot.
Starting point: WP (Hohe Tauern) Mitten Kaser (Rieger Kaser) The hike to Stanziwurten (2,707 m) is a moderately difficult (T2) mountain hike with great views in the Hohe Tauern National Park in Carinthia. The trail leads through idyllic alpine pastures and offers impressive panoramic views of the Schober Group, the Lienz Dolomites, the Goldberg Group, and the Glockner Group from the summit. The hiking trail is well signposted. The summit itself is a popular place for a rest and offers a spectacular 360-degree panorama. This tour requires a good level of fitness. Sturdy footwear, weatherproof clothing, and plenty of drinks and provisions are essential. Today's tour was a feast for the eyes compared to all the tours we've done so far in Carinthia... it was stunningly beautiful. 🥰🫶🍀🙋♀️🙋♂️
Unfortunately, we had to abort the tour before reaching the summit cross. Heavy rain, thick fog, and wind made it impossible to continue.
