This route was planned by komoot.
At the end of our stay, a demanding hike via the Silberkarhütte to the Guttenberghaus (and back down).
That was another tour! Strenuous, beautiful, and fantastic scenery. This is the queen stage from Ramsau. Unfortunately, the morning was very cloudy... But the clouds cleared up at the saddle. This finally gave me a wonderful panoramic view of the mountain landscape. Up to the Guttenberghaus, I was completely alone in the wide open spaces, wonderful! There were also three snowfields along the way, but I managed to avoid them. Unfortunately, from the Guttenberghaus onwards, the clouds returned. Anyway, back down to the valley and finish the tour. It was definitely worth it. More information can be found here. https://www.schladming-dachstein.at/de/Regionales-und-Angebote/Touren/Koenigsetappe_td_370906
... People people people 🤓 gave everything again today, "King's stage", the 616 up, the 618 down 🙏🏻, we went skyward to the Guttenberghaus 2146 m, but the first highlight was the Lärchbodenalm, the location ect a dream, unfortunately still closed soo early in the morning, they were apparently still sleeping 🤭😁. Arrived at the top unfortunately overcast, from there in the direction of Silberklarhütte, this section turned out to be a bit difficult (sometimes brutal 😱), downhill it goes through the Silberklarklamm. From the parking lot via the "Flying Mushroom" snack station 🍄 back to the starting point Feisterer Hof 👍🏻👌🏼 Wahoo had a few dropouts again 😡😤
Today the goal was the "Sinabell" via ferrata 🧗🏼♂️ With an approach to the climb of around 1000 m, it was already a bit of a challenge. 😅 The via ferrata would add another 220 m, which unfortunately didn't work out today. The weather thwarted our plans. The summit of the Sinabell (at 2341 m above sea level) was in thick fog most of the time, which made the climb dangerous and completely pointless. Instead, we changed our plans at short notice to the queen stage, as the approach to the Sinabell was already part of the stage. At the end of the day, we had completed the queen stage in perfect hiking weather. 💪🏼🌤️☀️😂
There are several ways to start the king's stage, here are parking options close to the tour, with GPS data: 1) Our start, Kalcherweg 47.424363, 13.686653 (place at the side of the road, few cars) 2) P in Ramsau 47.424980, 13.677658 (Lärchbodenalm / Guttenberghaus) 3) P Old Mill 47.424072, 13.700837 4) P Silberkarklamm 47.434067, 13.718129 (left side: fee, right side: free; well marked) We went the tour counter-clockwise, which has the advantage in the morning that the sun shines into the gorge, and for the sake of the experience, you always walk a gorge from bottom to top. Admission to the Silberkarklamm is €4.20 (no discount for Sommercard holders), the paths are well maintained, the gorge experience is worth every cent.
A very beautiful tour with an impressive view to linger over. If you are physically fit and sure-footed, the hike is no problem.
Hiked the queen's stage today! It was one of the most beautiful tours we have ever hiked, fantastically beautiful !!!!! The CHALLENGE was enormous, but still unforgettable! And of course conquered the yellow jersey !!!!
