That's how it is sometimes. We actually just wanted to head for the lake and then back. 25 km at the most 👀😏But then we find ourselves at the Lesum dike...the Vegesack ferry...and a bratwurst at the Ochtum barrier...GVZ. Done. Now, let's have a coffee ☕️
The route through the Werderland region is flooded! I rode through anyway, but came out with wet feet; I definitely can't recommend it. Otherwise, this bike tour is very worthwhile.
Up and down the Weser. A nice Easter day trip to eat fish in the "Gouden Wind" and to the Overbeck Museum, sometimes in great cycling weather. After we left the suburbs and the huge industrial areas the tour became nice. The lapwings could be observed in the wetland at the mouth of the Ochtum. On the other side in Vegesack we visited the Overbeckmuseum (one of the Worpswede painters). The fish dinner that followed was terrific. The way back took us on the dike and through the green belt back to the Weser. Overall a great tour.
Did a complete tour in “bio mode” in the best cycling weather. And with these extreme gradients in Bremen (East Friesland is flatter 🤔😉😀) maybe a few more pictures. Post-processing will be done later
I actually just wanted to pick a few blackberries, as there were no bowls yesterday. But the wonderful play of clouds attracted me to the water. So I took a little detour via Vegesack.
Today I just had to get back on my bike and since the weather forecast was so-so, I preferred to just take a short tour. The weather stuck to the forecast: a small hail shower before reaching the Ochtum barrier, a small rain shower just before Lemwerder and in the drizzle it went through Werderland.
The tour went to the current exhibition of the Vegesack Photo Friends in the local community center, and back in cloudy weather on the western side of the Weser (Lemwerder ferry, "Weserside Gallery", freight traffic center)
