Total kilometers 11km On the way back to Mandling we walked an alpine trail. In two sections the trail had completely slipped and it was not clear where it continued. The Mandlberggut not only has fine distillates and good cosmetics in the farm shop but also fine pastries in the cozy café. You can sample 3 schnapps/liqueur/gin/whiskey for 7.00 euros in the café. Guided tours can be booked online.
A fairly simple and easy hike. Comfortable forest paths. However, surefootedness is required in some places.
On stony paths along the Mandlingbach. As a reward there was a big sundae in the distillery's cafe
Since we actually wanted to keep our feet still today, we decided to take a small circular walk from Mandling, along the Mandling and back through the forest.
Very nice hike from Mandling. You can park in the village right by the river and first walk through a short tunnel. Then always follow the watercourse uphill. There are always opportunities for the fearless to cool off in one of the pools of the mountain stream. As expected, the water is VERY cold and whoever came up with the name "Warme Mandling" probably had a lot of humor 😉. At the reservoir (I've also seen people swimming there) we go into the forest, initially a little uphill and then always on a forest path down to the Mandlberg snack bar. You should definitely stop here if you start the descent back on a gravel path.
