Hiking
This hike combines a leisurely stretch along the shore with a challenging climb up the Bürgenstock. You can admire Lake Lucerne from different perspectives.
From Stansstad you hike along the picturesque shore to Kehrsiten. The place name refers to the cherries (Chirscheten) that grow wonderfully here. Appropriately, you start your climb on the local fruit trail, past some rare trees. Then a steep path takes you up the Bürgenstock and to a fantastic view, which you can enjoy between the luxurious hotels of the Bürgenstock Resort. From here you can take the funicular down to the jetty in Kehrsiten.
Please note that the path leads through the forest and it can be slippery after the rain.
