Portugieser Wine Cycling Tour

This tour takes you through the picturesque Pulkautal and over lovely hills. Between vineyards and cellar lanes, you follow in the footsteps of Inspector Polt and take a look into the past.

Right at the beginning, you visit two special cellar lanes: the one in Hadres is the longest of its kind in the Weinviertel with around 400 cellars and press houses. There you can look at old wine equipment in a showroom. The cellar lane in Alberndorf is not much shorter and is also one of the filming locations for the Polt films. The rest of the route becomes varied. In Peigarten you can visit a bee museum, Guntersdorf impresses with its Renaissance castle. In Schöngrabern you can marvel at the so-called Stone Bible at the parish church.
