This route was planned by komoot.
Nice walk with sometimes too easy paths. Because my bruised ribs needed exactly that, it was still a perfect fit.
Clear your head after a busy week. Lovely walk in an area where I like to walk. Everything is beautifully green and the mushrooms are already coming up. A bit of rain but that shouldn't spoil the fun. Dogs are allowed on the route. Sometimes on the line.
Lovely walk on another perfect spring day. Forest, estates and birds and horses for company. Also nice and quiet. Easily accessible by public transport, sufficient catering and a pleasant center in Doorn. Another party for the senses and an empty head after a busy working week..
Today I walked this ninth and tenth link of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug chain, together good for about 30 km. This ninth route was 14.5 km and runs all the way around Doorn. You will pass Landgoed Huis Doorn, where there is plenty to see, and Landgoed Stameren. Huis Doorn is a castle, knight's court and estate in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug in Doorn and is mainly known for the German ex-emperor Wilhelm II, who lived there from 1920 until his death in 1941. Landgoed Stameren was created in 1905 as a country house for the Amsterdam stockbroker Willem Gerrit Wendelaar, his wife Elisabeth and their family. Today it is a location for anyone who wants to meet, work or stay overnight in the middle of the green. All in all, quite a varied walk!
