Hiking
The impressive double tower on the Tremmelberg is the destination of this hike, which is also suitable for motivated children. It runs exclusively along forest roads. Starting from the car park outside Sachendorf, you hike into the forest. You follow the tour steadily uphill to the hamlet of Vorder-Tremmel, where a bench with a panoramic view awaits you.
After a short break, you continue across a few narrow streams to the 1,194-meter-high Tremmelberg. When you reach the summit, you have not yet reached the highest point: you climb 202 steps to the platform of the 42-meter-high observation tower, officially called the "Tower in the Mountains".
From there, your gaze wanders over the treetops to the surrounding mountains of the Seckau Alps, the Styrian Randgebirge and the Seetal Alps. Please note: The tower is closed from November to March. On the way back down to the valley you can make a short detour to the picturesque Calvary Church “Zum heiligen Kreuz”.
