Schloss-Filseck-Runde – Löwenpfade um Göppingen

This relaxed tour is the perfect walking tour for the whole family. The four-kilometer route is also ideal for pushchairs or wheelchairs, since you are only on paved paths and have no slopes to climb. The starting point is at the hiking car park at Filseck Castle.

You hike across the open field to Charlottensee. On the shore of the lake you can take a break in the idyllic landscape and watch water birds. The lake is right on the edge of the Birkenhau forest. Through this you hike back to your starting point, the Filseck Castle. At the end of the small round you can relax in the beautifully landscaped castle garden, look at the exhibition in the gallery and let yourself be pampered in the restaurant.

There are a total of 15 lion trails in the Göppingen district. They promise hiking with high quality standards and lure with impressive views, varied natural landscapes and mysterious places and stories. The path is named after the unique lion man, a human-animal sculpture made of mammoth ivory, which is around 40,000 years old.
