Mountain biking

This tour allows you to warm up your muscles by following the cycle/pedestrian path up to Mazzin, from where you then head south to reach the panoramic hamlet of Muncion and, shortly after, divert onto a dirt road towards Gardeccia.

Depart from Pozza di Fassa and follow the course of the Alvisio stream towards Canazei. Reach the bridge that gives access to the town of Mazzin and go up Strèda de Chiavacia and Strèda de Col da Chieve and then take a dirt road that leads to the hamlet of Muncion.

This first climb, which gradually opens up to a spectacular view of the valley, passes through the woods (trail marker no. 579). From Soal, follow the asphalt road to Gardeccia for a short stretch and then take the dirt road that connects you to the ski slope, which you have to go up for about two kilometres. From Pian Pecei continue into the woods, on the Path of Legends, from where you have a splendid view of the Catinaccio.

Here the highest point of the Tour awaits you, the Gardeccia refuge and the Enrosadira hut, called in this way because, at sunset, the Dolomite amphitheater that surrounds it is painted pink. Rest, regenerate and then prepare for the return descent, which is the same up to the crossroads for Pera. From here continue, pass under the Vajolet chairlift, take Tita Piaz road, cross the state road and take Jumela road. Return to the cycle path along the Avisio to arrive triumphantly in Pozza, after a spectacular day of MTB.

To reach Pozza di Fassa you can take advantage of Trentino Trasporti and SAD public transport, or park your car in one of the car parks available in the town.

Definitely excessive ascent for the poor training I've put together this year...
But the satisfaction of having succeeded anyway is priceless 😃
