On this challenging mountain tour, you will overcome a total of over 1,000 meters in altitude and climb the summit of the Golz (2,004 meters). You start at the valley station of the Weissensee cable car. After about five kilometers, you can take your first break at the Naggler Alm and treat yourself to a Kaiserschmarren or other local specialties.
A particularly beautiful section of the tour is the Geißrückensteig. It is very well insured and can also be done by children. Be careful when approaching the grazing cattle that are often found here and behave quietly and respectfully.
At an altitude of 1,534 meters, you can make another stop at the Kohlröslhütte. Here, too, there are all kinds of drinks and food. Then you hike over the Sattelköpfe (1,684 meters) to the summit of the Golz. If the weather is clear, you have a wonderful panoramic view, including the Weissensee.
You descend in an easterly direction and after about three quarters of an hour you reach the Bodenalm, the next place to stop for refreshments. From there you can reach the Paterzipf jetty via idyllic forest paths and take the boat back to the starting point.
