On the trail of the Hochmoorgeist 👻💚🥾🌳 Asta and I were on the Hochmoorgeist circular hiking trail in the Solling Vogler region today. ᵂ̲ᴱ̲ᴿ̲ᴮ̲ᵁ̲ᴺ̲ᴳ̲ @sollingvoglerregion It was fascinating how the light draft made the high moor spirit hover over the small water areas and the cotton grass in the Mecklenbruch high moor. 🪵🌳🌲 We had great views from the Hochsollingturm and saw wild Heck cattle and Exmoor ponies on the Silberborn mountain meadows. The Panoramaweg offered us beautiful distant views and led us through a breathtaking landscape. At the end of the day we visited the town of Holzminden and explored the many shops and restaurants. All in all it was an unforgettable adventure and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great hike. I hope you have enjoyed my tour of the Solling Vogler region so far?! #sollingvogler #wildeheimat #wandernmitwilli
On our drive to the Teutoburger Wald, we took a break in Silberborn to do a lap in the „Wilden Heimat“ in the Solling. Starting point was the „Mecklenbruch“ parking lot. We hiked on the well-signposted S1 Hochmoorgeist hiking trail, initially on the panoramic path through a picturesque, sun-drenched fir forest, which in my opinion is still intact, up to the Hochsollingturm. After climbing the 178 steps of the tower, we could enjoy a fantastic 360-degree panoramic view of the surroundings. Afterwards, we continued, always following the signs. We crossed the country road and walked past a cattle pasture to the Holzminde stream. We followed it to a small, quite overgrown lake. Now we reached the wooden sculpture path. We walked along it and further on, the route led us into the highlight „Hochmoor Mecklenbruch“. We crossed the moor on a wooden boardwalk and could view the interesting area from a bird's-eye perspective from a viewing platform. From there, we were back at the starting point quite quickly. A very varied and interesting tour!
The last day of November brought coolness and 🌞, a wonderful combination for a short walk in the Hochsolling. 😊 The circular trail "Hochmoorgeist", signposted as S 1, leads around the village of Silberborn on mostly beautiful paths with relatively little inclines. Special highlights are the Mecklenbruch raised moor and the Hochsolling tower, but the trail also offers some other niceties. 😉 The hike described in detail in the book "Experience the wild homeland on foot" is one of the quality tours of Wanderbares Deutschland and I really liked it! 👍 More information at: www.solling-vogler-region.de
A beautiful family hike in the Solling region. Found a geocache by chance. The scenery was also beautiful. 🤩
Today we went to Silberborn in the Solling. Great weather and a wonderful snowy landscape awaited us. The S1 trail was very well signposted and easy to walk. There were wonderful views along the way and the climb up the Hochsolling tower was really worth it. There are other S trails to explore in the area. If they are as beautiful as the S1, then I can expect some great hikes in the Solling.
The Hochmoorgeist S1 circular trail is one of the "wild" tours through the Solling hills, perfect for stamp collectors. I hiked it last winter, but because it's so beautiful, it's now a regular part of my routine.
Super recommendable 8.5 km loop around Silberborn. Great views, Heck cattle, sculpture path, moor path and hiking trails that are just fun! The signage makes the cell phone unnecessary during the hike (except for photos :-)).
Today we hiked the Hochmoorgeistweg trail in the Solling hills again. Since we've hiked it several times before, we decided to mix things up and hiked it in the opposite direction 🤪. The hike in the snow at -10 degrees Celsius and glorious sunshine was really fun and highly recommended.
