A lake hike through a lot of beautiful nature awaits you in Dorfgastein: On your way to the Paarseen you will discover how diverse the Gastein landscape and its flora is in summer. And if you dare, you can cool off in one of the two lakes at the end.
It starts at Hauserbauer. You first climb up to the managed high alpine pasture through a beautiful spruce forest, which provides pleasant shade, especially in summer. You reach the smaller Paarsee through beautiful wetlands and picturesque fens. The larger Paarsee stretches out in front of you just a few meters further on, against a perfect backdrop. Here you can sit down, take a break and enjoy the view of the Hochkönig massif.
The same path then takes you back, although a short detour to the Gasteiner Höhe is worthwhile: from the summit cross you can once again enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the valley and the surrounding mountain peaks.
