The tour was planned to start at the Singen State Garden Show. Since all trains to Engen were canceled, we drove to Hohentwiel and parked at the information center. From there, we continued through forests and meadows around the Staufen and via Twiefeld up to Hohentwiel. Then back again. The recorded distance was about 1 km less, due to GPS dropouts. Cloudy skies and a pleasant 19°C - 20°C.
Hello dear like-minded people! I did this great hike yesterday. Alone without my beloved Zoya, she was with my mum and was allowed to spend a day and a night there. So basically vacation 😎😍. Because yesterday I visited my best friend in the REHA clinic. Since I had wanted to see the Hohentwiel for a long time, that was the program now, because I was able to combine it very well. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that great, there was a cold wind and I was wearing shorts and didn't have a windbreaker with me. But you have to go through it, it's your own fault. It starts at the parking lot at the restaurant Domäne, where you also have to buy a ticket to visit the castle. That's only possible here! And then it started. You walk on the volcano path with great views of the surrounding area and the other volcanic hills. Very beautiful! Then it goes up to the castle. I would have needed Omchen's hand at the first bridge! huiui...but I made it. The ruin is great, you can discover a lot and it's big...you also have a great view of Singen and Lake Constance...unfortunately the weather wasn't that great, and unfortunately I didn't see the Alps either . Nevertheless it was very nice, I especially have a family connection to Singen, my grandmother lived here, but unfortunately she died before I was born....but then we always went to the cemetery. From there I went back along the volcano path and passed the highest vineyard in Germany. 😎 Then you go around another mountain and then you're back at the parking lot. A great tour with lots of information about the volcanoes and the area. The views and the area are very beautiful. And then we went to Radolfzell...there is the next small round with pictures... A very beautiful and varied hike. Only the ruins on the Staufen were not worth it. Lots of walls in the bushes, no view.
