Erlhofplatte ZE6 MTB Tour

Mountain biking

Your tour starts at the bus stop in the center of Thumersbach. On two wheels, you will ride along the lakeside road on the east side of Lake Zell, which partially runs directly along the shore. Here you will have a unique view of Zell am See and the surrounding mountain landscape.

After you have passed the European nature reserve of Lake Zell, you will walk a few meters along the infamous Glockner road at the end of the lake canal. After a left turn, the path winds its way up to the Erlhofplatte. Here you will gain a few meters in altitude until you pass a photo point with great views to capture memories for eternity.

Now it's downhill again and you reach the Enzianhütte, which provides you with regional food and refreshing drinks. Here you can fill up your water bottle with fresh spring water to ensure you have enough reserves for the last few meters of your descent. Once you have arrived in the village, you can enjoy the panorama to the fullest and end your day comfortably on the lake shore.

Everyone drives clockwise... Ok. Then we meet. Was it smart? Rather not. 😁 In the end it's very nice.

Today I was able to use a small window of time for an MTB tour. The kurbel-Tour to Erlhofplatte was suitable for this.
After approx. 8 km, the asphalt ends and it continues on the forest path. With partly brutal climbs, it went steadily uphill and here it is good to have a little weight on the rear wheel 😛 …

A quick lap - Jageregg - Erlhofplatte - Thumersbach. It was very hot, hence the sauna feeling!
Always nice to drive. There were a lot of cyclists on the trail today. Sometimes very unsafe on rental bikes.
