This pleasant route, accessible to all, connects the railway stations of La Baule and Saint-Nazaire, two emblematic towns of Loire-Atlantique. The route follows part of the Vélétang. A link between the Vilaine estuary and that of the Loire, this cycle route offers a great alternative to the Vélodyssée and the Nantes-Brest canal for those who wish to follow the coast rather than traveling in the heart of the land .
From La Baule-Escoublac station, you reach its superb landscaped seafront. This seaside resort is particularly popular for its large beaches and its many amenities.
The route follows the seafront towards Pornichet before heading inland. Gradually the urban area gives way to a more rural environment. The Bois-Joalland pond then allows a gentle and beautiful break before entering Saint-Nazaire. This multifaceted city, seaside, historical and industrial, invites you to explore its territory and its riches.
You can also discover it by walking along its seafront. Don’t miss the “Sammy” of Saint-Nazaire as well as its magnificent Vieux Môle lighthouse.
