TOP-Hiking trail Panorama Effelder

From the high-altitude village of Effelder, you start your tour in an easterly direction to the “Domblick”. There, a sun lounger and a covered bench are available for a break. A gentle descent leads into the Lutter valley. Almost always along the river, you reach the Lutter waterfall near Großbartloff. The water of the Lutter falls down here at a depth of around ten meters.

Narrow paths lead up to a limestone plateau. There is also the Uhlenstein viewing platform, which offers a fantastic view as far as the Hoher Meißner. On the last few kilometers towards Effelder, the Eichsfeld Cathedral comes back into view. Back at the destination, it is recommended to pay a visit to the cathedral after completing the tour.

P.S.: At the weekend, after the hike, you can indulge in a hearty meal at the local ice cream parlor.
