Hiking
The Rossbrand is a 1,768-meter-high peak in the Salzburg sports world, known for its magnificent panorama and lush nature. To climb it, you have to climb almost 1,000 meters. But the effort is definitely worth it!
It starts in the center of Radstadt. You leave civilization behind you and follow serpentines up to the start of a beautiful hiking trail. Here you immerse yourself in a magical forest that accompanies you for the next few kilometers to the Bürgerbergalm.
After a possible stop for refreshments, you continue through the shade under dense treetops until sooner or later you reach the summit of the Rossbrand. On its mighty wooden cross is written "My God, the homeland is beautiful." And it really is!
Near the summit, there is another rustic place to stop for refreshments, the Radstädter Hütte. Here you can get some refreshments before you start the return journey to Radstadt via the same route.
