Hiking

The starting point of this round trip route is at Casa del Monte, a place only accessible by 4x4. You can take a taxi from the Los Tilos visitor center.

The Route has a route with little gradient during the four hours needed to complete it. Don't forget to wear appropriate footwear and waterproof clothing. Some tunnels can get quite wet.

You will find a unique vegetal landscape with leafy pine trees and traces of laurel forest. The path runs parallel to the canal that collects water from the springs and runs through the large Marcos y Cordero caldera. It crosses these ravines to then merge into the Agua ravine.

Back at Casa del Monte, you can take advantage of its small rest and picnic area, or go and taste a delicious wheat stew at a local restaurant.

Cordero Spring

Highlight • Waterfall

This waterfall and its neighbor, that of Marcos, are the origin of the water that is channeled through the thirteen tunnels through which the route goes. At the springs, the water falls through large vertical walls typical of the north of the island and which announce the Caldera de Taburiente National Park.
