This route opens onto cobblestone paths bordered by stone walls. At every moment, panoramas of the Château du Tournel and the northern slope of Mont-Lozère are available to you.
From Mas-d’Orcières, you set off on a path rich in history. You discover some archaeological sites such as the Cheyroux menhir.
The landscape, sculpted by sheep grazing and crops, reveals the rural life of the region. As you head deeper into the Lot Valley, you arrive at Saint-Julien-du-Tournel, a small town surrounded by idyllic waterfalls.
Then, you climb up to the hamlet of Malmont. Here, you benefit from breathtaking views of the Château du Tournel, your objective for the day. Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the ruins of the fortress, the chapel and the dwelling.
When you feel it is time to end this journey through time, leave Le Tournel towards Mas-d’Orcières. A few kilometers then separate you from the starting point.
