Trail Reviews

In beautiful weather, we set off from the hotel today and cycled to Merano. The tour went along the Passeier cycle path - always with the apple orchards on one side and the Passer on the other. Of course, we changed sides several times because we had to cross the Passer every now and then. The tour was beautiful again - in terms of the condition of the path, the landscape and the weather. Merano itself is worth a trip - the old town, the shopping mile (Meraner Lauben), the Tappeinerweg, which runs over Merano's roofs, the Botanical Gardens, the Powder Tower, the Wandelhalle, where we treated ourselves to a non-alcoholic beer, an espresso and an ice cream, and much more. Unfortunately, Komoot only recorded the outward journey - no idea why. Perhaps the break was too long or Komoot doesn't like the same outward and return journey.

I did half the ride up the valley on sport then the second half on eco as the battery was getting low. The family had already done the downhill section and I was just getting the car from the top so no stops. I should have charged the battery fully.

Very easy downhill with the kids on 20inch bikes . We stopped for lunch and a break or two . Gravel sections are well packed so are no problem.

This is a great ride. Start from the bike rental next to the train station. Ask for help for the first km in the city. We made a wrong choice for traffic. After a few minutes you're on the trail following the pristine river with mountain views all the way.

After 🍺🍕☕ in the village cafe we went back to Schenna and almost without pedaling 😃 in a racing driver position 🚴 ♂️ to Obermais. From there, Wadlschmalz is required again to get up to Schenna. ⛰️👍 Weather was a bit friendlier and warmer, but still cloudy. ⛅

It's a shame that you can't combine hiking and cycling on Komoot. Today's three tours belong together. 1. Cycle there to St. Leonhard 2. Take the bus to Moos 3. Hike from Moos through the Passer Gorge to St. Leonhard 4. Return via Merano to Kuens.
