Today's hike started in Wülfringhausen and then via Oberholzen to Freckhausen and back via the Alpetal.
The sky today offered a study in shades of gray. A warm wind steadily pushed the color palette forward. On the road in the Oberbergischer Kreis near Wiehl in the Alpetal valley and its tributaries. The forest was still green, with colorful blossoms and berries. Various paths: forest, woodland, and along streams. Uphill, downhill, through small villages, and undulating along the side valleys. At km 6.3, we venture into the undergrowth for a few hundred meters. If you don't like that, stay on the forest path from km 6.1 onwards. There are little peculiarities to discover in the villages. Between the villages, often hidden by ponds and streams, are isolated residential buildings. Pure idyll. On the A4, the water flows quietly, with its humming, rising and falling undertone. Have a safe journey home, everyone! A few hundred meters further, and the peace and scent of the forest return. Parked by the roadside.
