Today I did a round trip around the Altmühltur from Greding. Great route, also suitable for racing bikes. Great bike and country roads. Very beautiful scenery.
Nice route except for the stretch along the highway. This section is very noisy.
Admittedly, at the beginning of the tour and at the end of the tour there is a bit much "driving next to the motorway" that we didn't like that much....
Beautiful bike tour from the Main Danube Canal to the Schwarzach and the Altmühl. This means there are almost no significant climbs. The town of Berching is particularly beautiful with its intact city wall and town center. The town of Greding has a beautiful market and many restaurants all around. Kinding has a fortified church. Before Beilngries (in our holiday resort there are also beautiful houses and many restaurants - lots of greenery all around) there is the Kratzmühlsee where you can relax on the lawn or refresh yourself in the water. All for free, of course. And between the towns there is a lot of beautiful nature and villages.
Past the alpacas, via Kinding, Kratzmühle, and back via Beilngries. Wife has to work.
Nice tour with lots of water. Great scenic tour with some highlights, but also a few weak spots. The road and cycle path on the motorway can possibly be replanned. 🙈 But overall a great day tour ending in Plankstetten Abbey.🌞🍺
Nice round from Beilngries, first on the Altmühl to Kinding, then on the Schwarzach via Gröding to Pforzheim, and finally on the Main-Danube Canal via Berching back to Beilngries. The tour has only one flaw, namely the almost 4 km from Hausen (after approx. 28 km) on the state road. But they are bearable. Link to Relive video: https://www.relive.cc/view/vPv4e5wmA3O
Unfortunately, the round often runs along federal roads and the motorway. It is very well suited for racing bikes or gravel bikes.
