We hiked the trail at the weekend after the Baldeneysteig in two day stages (Werden-Kettwig and Kettwig-Werden) and I can only confirm what "visitessen" wrote, although the asphalted sections didn't seem that long to me. All in all, a very beautiful and recommendable trail.
