This six-kilometer-long circular tour captivates with waterways, forest passages and the romantic center of Bevergern. If you come by bus line R21, get off at the bus stop Abz. Westfalenstraße. The Bevergerner Pättken starts at the hundred-year-old lock system of the Dortmund-Ems Canal. This historical technology, which is still in operation today, is simply fascinating. From the water, you walk into the center of Bevergern, where you can visit Levedags Mill and St. Mary's Church, among other things.

A wonderful avenue along the Merschgraben leads you back to the canal. You reach the so-called "Wet Triangle", where the Mittelland Canal and the Dortmund-Ems Canal meet, and walk over the impressive Bergeshöveder Steg from 1914. At the Wet Triangle, there are places to stop for a nice break before you dive into the forest on the Huckberg. The hike takes you past caves, viewpoints and rest areas back to your starting point at the lock.

Finally, some pure sunshine again despite the icy cold; the short, varied hike through the forest and the village of Bevergern via the "wet triangle" is perfect for stiff, rusty bones. Very nice!
