The panoramic tour from Horgen is something for climbers and for everyone who can't get enough of the view. Smaller and larger lakes are omnipresent on this route. On the road, your emotions constantly fluctuate between 'Oh no!', 'Wow!' and 'Really now?!'. Steep climbs alternate with rapid descents. In the end, all your efforts will be forgotten because the truly unique images of this route will stay with you forever.
Luckily, the tour takes you from Horgen train station to a small street as quickly as possible. On this journey you only use the large, two-lane asphalt strips to get back to a side road as quickly as possible. The path initially climbs continuously for 27 kilometers. However, every meter of altitude is worth it, because after every curve the panorama is even better. What follows is a lively up and down through villages where you can stop off or buy something local and homemade in the farm shop.
As a highlight at the end, the Sihlwald Wilderness Park awaits you. The approximately 1,100 hectare beech forest is the first nature adventure park in Switzerland. It offers plants and animals undisturbed habitats and visitors the opportunity to experience intact nature.
This panoramic tour is verified by the Veloclub Horgen and is 100 percent asphalted. So you can look forward to a particularly exciting route. The club is very committed to promoting cycling. Two club members, Petra Stiasny and Elena Hartmann, are currently competing at World Tour level.
