September 12, 2022, 🇦🇹2022Austria: Vorderkaserklamm Runde 🔛Vuelta circular a la Garganta de Vorderkaser

Again a route through the Austrian Tyrol area, this time visit us the Vorderkaseklam gorge, entry 6 euros!. You can park right at the entrance where there is a small kiosk where you buy the ticket but the car park is small although it is free otherwise you will have to park about 2km down and it costs 4 euros. The gorge is impressive, you have to climb more than 300 steps through it, part of the gorge runs through areas of little light due to the depth and narrowness of the walls. Because of the beauty, the construction of the walkways and stairs , security that transmits, it is worth the visit and the price to pay. The path is circular and even the entrance from the parking lot is comfortable. Do not act for pets!! although it can be carried.

The gorge is 400 m long, 80 m deep, up to 6 m wide at the top and 80 cm narrow at the bottom. The path through the gorge leads over 5 1 steps and 35 staircases with a total of 373 steps. The speed and length are not correct - problems with GPS 🤷

Very easy to do with children too. I recommend the small restaurant opposite the ticket office. Very tasty! 😋

Or no, another gorge 🙄, some people might think when they read the title, and I had actually considered whether I really wanted to go there 🤔. But several reasons convinced me. Firstly, of course, that I could visit it for free with the SL Card 👍🏻, the immediate proximity to the Almenwelt Lofer and the Lamprechtshöhle 🔦, which is only a stone's throw away 🐈‍⬛, which I also wanted to see (for free). It was also much too early to drive back to the accommodation 😉. But first things first. From the Almenwelt Lofer I also drove to the Lamprechtshöhle, but as it is well known that GPS reception in caves is not that good 😏, I have included pictures and a comment here. With four to six degrees 🥶 I was of course prepared with a jacket again and got in quickly without having to wait 👍🏻. Some others were out and about in sweaty summer clothes and will soon be looking forward to a nice cold 🤧. You can explore the 700-meter-long cave section all by yourself, but thanks to the many information boards 👌🏼 you don't need a guide. It's quite sporty, climbing 300 steps 70 meters up 💪🏼 before returning almost the same way. You can hear the rushing of several streams again and again, but you can't see them, so it can happen that the cave has to be closed due to flooding 😲. In any case, it's very impressive 👍🏻, beautifully illuminated 👌🏼 with a waterfall 🌊 ⬇️ as a nice final highlight. I also noticed that my new technology can take really good night photos 📷🤩.

Impressive gorge. Today is the last day the snack bar is open.

On the way back from the Kitzlochklamm, we stopped at the Vorderkaserklamm. Parking lot directly on the B311 for a day ticket of 4 euros and then another 5.50 euros for the gorge. Geologically, I think the Vorderkaserklamm is more beautiful than the Kitzlochklamm. I think the Seisenbergklamm, where I was last year, is absolutely great.

Since bad weather was announced today, we only walked a short distance. After a stretch along the creek, there was first refreshment at the Vorderkaser snack bar. Then off to the gorge. Small, very narrow valley always above the water. Really nice. On the way back it just started to rain. So we went back to Heeme and the bakery to get a little cake 🤤.

Absolute adventure hike! The hike up through the gorge is unique and impressive. Didn't know that there are such incredibly great natural monuments in our area. Not far from there is also the Lamprechts Cave, which is well worth seeing.
