This beautiful loop takes you into the heart of the Haute-Savoie landscapes. The route alternates between hamlets and villages, orchards and mountain pastures, in a magnificent and peaceful setting. The route passes at the foot of Mont Charvin and offers beautiful panoramas of the La Tournette and Bauges massifs.

The departure is in the center of Faverges-Seythenex. This small town has many accommodation and dining options. From its center, you reach Saint-Ferréol on a flat portion, perfect for warming up.

Then, a two-stage climb awaits you. A first portion rises overlooking the course of La Chaise. You continue by a road with a gentler slope which winds into a balcony before beginning the last part of the climb to the Col de l’Épine. On the way, you pass through the peaceful and remote village of Bouchet-Mont-Charvin.

When you reach the pass, savor the views before beginning the descent towards Marlens. This quickly leads to the village before a final portion brings you back to the starting point.

Variation: you can also do this round trip from Thônes. Join the route by driving to Serraval via the Col du Marais. You return by the same route.
