This 34 kilometer long loop leads along both banks of the Elbe between Geesthacht Zollenspieker - a ferry ride provides new perspectives. It starts at the huge double-chamber lock in Geesthacht, next to which is the largest fish ladder in Europe. Flower and vegetable growing areas, old farmhouses and windmills await you in the water-rich Hamburger Vier- und Marschlande. Cozy cafés along the way will provide you with new energy.

You cycle on asphalted, flat paths to Zollenspieker. Before you take the ferry across, you can take a break in the ferry house and watch the hustle and bustle on the Elbe. From Hamburg you now move to Lower Saxony. You drive on the Elbe dike with a view of the green meadows to Rönne, where you return to the starting point on the impressive Geesthacht Elbe bridge. You can enjoy great views of the river and the lock island.
