A great new event from Essen Marketing GmbH. There were 6 hiking routes between 4.5 km and 26 km to choose from. Villa Hügel could be visited free of charge. There were hiking stamps at certain places and the coveted hiking pin at the end. It was fun!
The area also looked familiar to me from the hike on the Bergischer Weg. But I really wanted to do this tour because I had seen that it went through the park of Villa Hügel. I hadn't been there on my last tour. And yes, it was worth it. When I arrived in front of the villa, I saw that you could even look inside. It was really worth seeing. And also a bit strange to walk over the carpet and parquet in your hiking outfit with thick hiking boots. The destination was the pier of the White Fleet, which you could then take back to Haus Scheppen. There we had a little refreshment before the last stretch to Kupferdreh station.
