Very nice circular hike starting from the church in Ferrette, which is well worth seeing. There is a large, free car park with an electric charging station. The circular hike first leads to the castle ruins, where there are some information boards about the history of the castle. Most of the hiking trails are easy to walk on. However, some places are very slippery in snow and ice, so you should definitely take crampons with you. The hike then continues through forests to Heidefluh, which also offers a fantastic view of Alsace and the Vosges. There is also a shelter and a barbecue area there. At the end of the tour, the Rossberg Tower offers another fantastic view of the surrounding area. At the edge of Ferette there is an Auchan supermarket, which is open until 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
