Today we were out and about in the Ardennes with our Belgian neighbors. It was uphill and downhill on rooty and rocky paths along the Hoege and Sawe rivers. 🚶➡️🚶♀️➡️🥾
Probably my best walk ever. Magnificent.
Hello everyone, This tour is a combination of my Hoenge and Sawe-Statte tours, so it's a bit longer at just under 18 km. This means that you'll probably use more than 20 bridges in total to cross the three rivers. It's mostly along narrow paths, always along a truly natural landscape. Depending on the season, there's more or less water, icicles, vibrant greenery, or even snow-covered landscapes to marvel at. Another bonus of this tour is that outside of peak hiking days, you'll encounter very few people, allowing you to enjoy the nature and tranquility even more. Surefootedness and sturdy footwear are essential; otherwise, it's easily doable for hikers. Dogs are welcome, but please keep them on a leash. As always: "No sandals" or "No slippers." Have fun! Olaf
