WITHOUT WORDS!!!! So indescribably beautiful here! A forest road leads into this fairytale valley, which you can drive by car or bike! You have to park your car after around 5km and 250m altitude difference at the Hopffeldboden car park, which is subject to a fee - you can get there for 4 € per day! But you can officially continue to ride a mountain bike as long as the battery or the power lasts. ;-) From here the forest road leads quite steeply upwards and we tortured ourselves with our currentless bikes and dwindling leg strength until the junction to the Seebachsee theme trail, where we freed ourselves from our bikes and fastened them behind a tree. This is how sustainability works! ;-) Well, I saved this journey separately, but not uploaded it because it was only about 1 hour's drive. But for us it was 7km and 460HM from our ingenious panorama camper pitch Friedburg. So now for today's hike: Up it went straight up in steep serpentines for around 2km and with a continuous 20-30% incline over a rather bare slope, because a lot had to be cut down here in recent years. Then another 1km across the slope between mountain pine fields to the Seebachalm hut, which offers cool beverages for self-service from the fountain (if no one is on site) or snacks and drinks directly from the dairyman - unfortunately he doesn't have any milk! The cows and sheep are probably too far away for that, distributed high up the whole mountain! ;-) It is definitely worth stopping here for a nice chat and a brilliant view - here you are almost undisturbed the whole day, as only very few hikers pass by! Then we continue over a small hilltop to a beautiful alpine pasture, which is emphasized by the Seebach and an alpine hut and after about half an hour you finally reach the Seebachsee, framed by high mountains that are still covered with huge snow fields in July. You absolutely have to linger here and let nature take effect - simply pure enjoyment! Due to the strong wind, we ate our snack on the side facing away from the lake, near a small wooden hut with a view of the whole valley - it was simply more pleasant than directly on the lake! ;-) It then went down almost counter-clockwise on the other side of the lake creek on a rooty but no less beautiful path and partly over wooden paths over high moor fields to the forest road and then back to the Berndlalm. Here we really charged our batteries again with a cheese dumpling soup and an ingeniously fluffy Kaiserschmarrn with a great view of the Great Geiger (3,360m), which we had been able to admire for hours. At this location in the middle of the valley you can also see how many people can save themselves the hard climb here and simply invest a few euros (or more) in a Venice taxi that can be conveniently taken from the Hopffeldboden car park up to here at 1,500m for 6 € to the Postalm at 1.699m for 10 € or to the material ropeway of the Kürsinger Hütte at 1,922m for € 14. As far as I know, you can also go exactly there by bike - as soon as we are also equipped with e-bikes, we'll do that - but without it it's just too steep for us and above all you would really miss something here if you would not have seen the Seebachsee - and it is definitely not accessible by bike! ;-) Aja at the Berndlalm, in addition to delicious food and a great mountain panorama, they also offer a nice petting zoo for children and the young at heart and rooms to stay overnight! Then, thank God, we only went down to the "hidden" wheels over the forest road with some vantage points to the two waterfalls Gamseck waterfall and Seebach waterfall and then only rolling downhill with the bikes, which saved our knees massively - only on the At the end we had to do 100HM to our pitch, but that was no longer a problem after that day!
A really recommendable route, for which we unfortunately didn't get such good weather during our vacation in the Obersulzbachtal (2 adults, 2 children: 9 and 13 years old). We climbed the "adventurous route" over unpaved paths/trails, which I would recommend again. There are several stations along the route with interesting explanations. At the lake, at least where we were, it was lousy cold, so pack warm clothes. On the way down, we went along the Seebachalm, where you can buy drinks at any time (snacks at lunchtime too). The path is the access road to the alpine pasture, so it's wider. And offers beautiful views of the valley. Once you've reached the bottom, a stop at the Berndlalm is definitely worth the reward.
Wonderful round in Obersulzbachtal (first ascent of Großvenediger over this valley!). Starting at Hopffeldboden, it went uphill until the steep ascent to the Seebachsee began on the right-hand side (good physical condition required). Those arriving at the Karsee enjoy the beautiful nature with partly still snow-covered rocks and turquoise blue shimmering water. Descent over the Berndlalm and then the Venedigerweg. A little tip: if you want to stop by, you can leave the Berndlalm (busy) on the right and walk 10 minutes further to the Kamprieseralm - there is hardly anything going on there.
Only 3 words are needed for 6 hours today: Grandiose, wonderful and phenomenal Enjoy the pictures🙋♂️ Thanks to @🇩🇪 Michael 🇩🇪 for the tour template 👌👍👌🥰🙋♂️ the rise 🧗♂️ is the 🔨🔨🔨 Today I was almost at my limit I chose the full round with the other descent, a fantastic climb in even more beautiful surroundings. You should definitely do it here on your next visit 🤗 Since Komoot and my watch don't agree and this time it was closer, here was the correction Ascent average at 2.7/6km Descent at 3.1/4.4km Correct heights 1080hm(Hopflboden) 2085hm(Seebachsee) Berndlalm (1515 m) Snack and way back via Kampriesalm (1416m) Have a great evening everyone, even if it rains, it's still dry here🤗🙋♂️
