This route exceeded my expectations with a diverse mix of coniferous woodland, moorland, meadows, lots of becks and fords, and spectacular views all the way east to the North York Moors from Greygarth Monument. My photos don't do the route justice, and the time of year and early morning sun almost certainly contributed to the route's appeal. The first couple …
