This route was planned by komoot.
After winter returned in the middle of the week as expected, I only stretched my legs for a short time today. I started at 3° degrees 🥶 and was a little sad about the warm days. Most of the fresh snow has already melted away, as the ground was already warm. According to the weather forecast, however, it will stay cold until the end of next week 😳🤦♂️. The holidaymakers at the well-occupied campsite must have imagined it differently. Hopefully the many mobile homes have a functioning auxiliary heater 🤔. Today's stand-up - a snowman on the lake walk 🫣😂
Once again at the beautiful Schwarzsee and enjoyed the sunrays ☀️😎
Very nice and easy hike around the Schwarzsee. You start from the parking lot (paying from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). You can also climb up to 1050 m and walk to the grotto. Swimming in the lake is free
Lake Schwarzsee walk My 0 8 15 walk to get some fresh air. Unfortunately the sun only shone until just after midday, but at this time of year the back part of the lake walk would have been in the shade anyway. In the weeks around the shortest day the sun is so low that the Schwarzsee campsite, right at the back of the lake, doesn't see any sun at all for days. Always in the shadow of the nearby mountains. On my walk you could still see it shining on the higher slopes from time to time. But actually I just wanted to go and see how thick the layer of ice was. Still a long way from being walkable 😉😊
The "faux pas" on my last tour cost me 2 weeks of having to keep my foot still (foot badly sprained). Now that my foot is only slightly swollen and the remaining visible injuries in the form of bruises are gradually disappearing, I was given the OK yesterday to start walking lightly again. But only with an ankle orthosis and no pain should occur. No sooner said than done. Daily program: Take the chairlift to Riggisalp for lunch and take the chairlift back down to the valley. Off-road hikes are not necessarily recommended as a start to rehab. Then the 4km walk around the lake and at home I spend another hour with my foot in the cool water of the Sense, like every day for the last 2 weeks. The walk around the lake around the Schwarzsee is a compacted gravel path and was therefore the ideal test run for my ankle. Of course, you also get a little lateral pressure from time to time and then you know whether it is still very uncomfortable for the foot or not. If necessary, I could have taken a public transport bus to the starting point about halfway through. So it was the perfect test route. I didn't feel any pain, but I did get a slight sting twice. Completely harmless and disappeared immediately. What was even more important is that my foot wasn't any more swollen than before. I'm happy that the first day in hiking boots went so well, although "smooth" running looks different 😅🙈. Now I'm on the Sense and playing with my feet in the water for an hour. PS: in addition to me and a few hikers, there were a lot of soldiers or rather recruits out in the mountains today. Not to be envied, dressed so warmly and traveling with a lot of luggage. Picture #4 and #7
After the last concert of this winter season at the Jailhouse last night, I was completely useless for getting up early this morning. The Toten Hosen cover band from Bensheim, Germany (between Frankfurt and Heidelberg), played with such passion that the whole evening was one big party 🍻🥳 (see my YouTube link). A concert at the Jailhouse Schwarzsee is more like a living room gig. Everything is small and intimate, the band is practically two meters away, there are only about 100 people at most, it's very friendly, everyone knows each other, and a completely homemade burger and a local beer are included in the price. Simply my coolest evening of the winter season 👌🏼🥳 Next weekend there are two more concerts at the Jailhouse, but as always at the end of the season, they'll take place outside in a slightly larger tent. Among others, an Aerosmith cover band will be performing. My highlight of next weekend. Yes, I enjoy listening to older rock music 😎 I woke up to beautiful sunshine and lots of fresh snow outside. What a shame I had lunch plans today and had to cancel my winter sports. But I absolutely didn't want to miss out on my steak 😋😅 A local steak from Schwarzsee, marinated for at least 14 days in herbs and spices. A flavorful treat 😋😍 So – in short. Today, before lunch, I only took a short walk around Schwarzsee, which has already half melted away from winter. The front part is no longer iced. But one last run in the fresh snow was a must 😅 https://youtu.be/wRwQRGw7mg4?is=WKbZ5WTrAxhTsfZo
The motto is: in any weather 😊 So today only the minimum distance - but this as always with zack. The rainwear has to be worn from time to time, otherwise what would have been the point of this purchase decision and do these 20,000 water columns actually keep what they promise? 🤔 But I wasn't alone outside, from the campus (on the other side of the lake) I heard loud laughter early on. When I took a closer look, I saw the reason, several stand-up paddlers just set sail in the pouring rain 😂. Falling into the water doesn't matter anymore.
The Schwarzsee is a lake located at approximately 1,050 meters above sea level in the canton of Fribourg. It is ideal for swimming, walking, and pedal boating. The lake is surrounded by the Fribourg Prealps, which rise to 2,200 meters.
