This tour, which starts at the Alba train station, well connected to Turin, allows you to get to know in particular the so-called Bar to Bar, i.e. the route that connects Barbaresco to Barolo.

The Tour follows the time trial of the 2014 Giro d'Italia, which upset the general classification. Rigoberto Uran, in fact, won the stage by a wide margin and won the pink jersey, which he later left to his compatriot Nairo Quintana.

The route that connects Barbaresco to Barolo is often signposted as Bar Bar, thus honoring two of the most popular wines on Italian tables. This tour therefore allows you to cycle in areas full of wine bars where it is possible to try the two local wine labels. That time trial was not suitable for pure specialists.

Therefore, expect to face various climbs. There is no shortage of rewards: in addition to the wine bars you can get to know some historic towns, such as Barbaresco and Barolo, and spectacular vineyards. In particular, the final stretch of this Tour allows you to fully appreciate the area, as you can admire various inhabited centers, such as that of Serralunga d'Alba, which stands at the top of the Piedmontese hills.

Complete the circle passing through La Morra and Grinzane Cavour. The first town allows you to appreciate a splendid panorama of the surrounding vineyards, while in the second you can discover a splendid medieval castle.
